Brussels long Weekend away. , . ,

So this is the longest overdue post ever! I had a fab weekend away in Brussels back in March; for one of my best friends hen do's! We walked everywhere, partied in a Brussels club, attempted to paint the city red and relaxed in our comfy hotel robes in the eve! These are just a few photos I took whilst there over the weekend... I've snook an outfit post in at the end too! x

Brighton with my Beau

Some lovely pictures I took in Brighton a month or so back, with my beau Luke. We were lucky enough to have such good weather as it was mid-june and had rained all weekend back in Manchester. Brighton is one of my favorite places especially in summer. I got to hang out with my lovely bessie Esther, went for long walks with Luke along the beach, had a cat nap in the Pavillion gardens and visited an ace American 50's diner called JB's the food and Cherry milkshake I had were delish! xxx

Coming up to the Queens Diamond Jubilee last month, I came across these lovely images for a celebratory street party themed post. Ello! December greetings guys & dolls! Now you may have already heard on the grapevine that there are some ace christmas markets this weekend...in fact there is one you shouldn't miss tomorrow... its @ The Soup Kitchen (basement) in Manchester. (see flyer) I thought I'd give you a small preview of our stock we're selling...

Me and two of my fellow creatives will be there with a table full of goodies ranging from bric-a-brac, hand-made & costume jewellery, books, bags, scarves, shoes, screen-printed, illustrated & collaged christmas cards.

We also have two rails generously filled with Barbara's customized apparel, ranging from lovely lace trimmed vests, jersey skirts and shift tops handmade from eclectic fabrics, including a pink shimmering oversized floral jumper thats amazing!!!

Hannah has created some beautiful scarves on her knitting machine using only the finest yarns and mohair. Varying in lengths, widths and colour-ways... they really are the perfect gift for christmas! 

I'm selling a collection of vintage and second-hand one-off items. Coats, knitwear, jersey, polo-shirts dresses and scarves with plaid, paisley, florals, polka-dots, beading and mohair. Amongst my stock is an original Mary Quant rain mac in a kaleidoscope of red, blue, black, yellow and green!

Be sure to find something unique in our Aladdin's cave of a stall! 

Bring some friends, have some mulled wine and get our your pennies! It should be a brilliant day!

To YORK for Halloween we go... Part 1

Here are some photographs I took last weekend in York. Coinciding with Halloween my favorite Ukrainian twins Hannah, Laura and I decided to spend a few days in the historically spooky Northern town. 

Having never visited York before, I was rather excited and had heard so many lovely things about the place. We wrapped up warm, admired the autumn leaves and wandered around the quaint streets laden with beautiful period buildings.

York Minister was breathtaking, it completely exceeded my expectations with its grand gothic structure.

The loveliest stall holder in York

On the Sunday we came across a fab vintage market stall, owned by a very kind and friendly lady called Donna. Most of her wares were dead-stock, many originally from the 50's and 60's. I was really surprised to find that everything on her stall was actually half of the ticket price, I just couldn't resist a bargain. I bought a dark green hairy wool jacket and matching skirt, that is so warm and with the added bonus of the lining being in perfect pristine condition. I also purchased a thick bright green mohair scarf/wrap and burgundy wool scarf. 

I will have to post some pics up soon of my wares as they are such gems! I'm not ashamed to say I haven't had the coat off since the weekend, it's too cosy! All in all I only spent £25 thanks to Donna's generous ways...I would definitely pay her another visit soon for a Sunday market shopping day. 

 It was such a brilliant trip. I would highly recommend anyone to visit. With it being Halloween and all, me and the girls went to York Dungeons which was highly amusing. I actually got burned at the stake in the last room on the tour for being a *dirty witch* or so I was told. But hey I've lived to tell the tale! xxx
