SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL

I only discovered this gem of an 80's John Hughes flick last year. It tops as one of my favourite films to date and was made in 1987 yeah! My year of birth. I've always been a fan of nostalgia, particularly the 80's. Some Kind of Wonderful is a love triangle between best friends and strangers.

Mary Stuart Masterson plays "Watts" a beautiful Tomboy drummer who is a dab hand on the drums. With her cute peroxide tipped elfin cropped hair, ripped denim and biker style leather, she makes 80's androgyny & anti-fashion look effortless.

The beautiful Eric Stoltz is "Keith" the protagonist; a talented artist and painter; the guy next door whose inquisitively after the affections of a popular high school girl.

Lea Thompson is "Amanda Jones" the object of Keith's affections.

It's a bittersweet tale of adolescence, attraction and first love.
Best not give too much away, don't want to spoil it for you guys!

Everyone loves a bit or romance eh!

Features a pretty great 80's soundtrack too, one of my favorite songs is a cover by Lick The Tins; Can't help Falling In Love...
